Combined Greg Shiffer and Bob Hartman have over 40 years experience in the custom home building industry.
Greg Shiffer started his career working as a framing carpenter after high school while attending college. Over the years he built on his carpentry skills and became a finish trim carpenter by trade, working on the fine details of custom homes. In 1992 he started his own contracting business and continued to build a client-base while working in the field and managing his jobs.
Bob Hartman, a lifetime resident of Moorestown, NJ has observed the many changes the area's landscape has encountered. He also had his own business in the early 90’s in the trade of finish trim carpentry. He also managed and maintained many families’ properties in town. This experience has helped form the foundation of the company today.
In 1995, Bob and Greg met each other while renting shop space at the same location and started a business relationship. In the year 2000 they joined forces and founded Hartman & Shiffer Builders. Together they started building high-end custom spec homes in Moorestown, NJ. This partnership allowed them to include all the finest details and products to bring the homes to the highest level of perfection.
While building spec homes they also continued with renovations, additions, tear downs of existing homes and construction of new ones, bath remodels, kitchen remodels, pool houses, basement remodels, and trim packages to homes. Hartman and Shiffer Builders have experienced the full range of home improvement projects.
Greg and Bob view all aspects of home improvement projects as an opportunity to bring out a home's true magnificence. Every project is given 100% attention to every detail with Greg and Bob themselves overseeing all phases at all times.
